The History and Philosophy Section

The History and Philosophy of Psychology Section has long been the place where ideas and their origins are scrutinised in a friendly and rigorous manner. Please follow the links below to find out about the committee, and our unfolding plans for the next section conference on 15th -16th April 2014 at University of Surrey, Guildford.

Committee members are active within the BPS [but there are currently technical hitches on the News part of the website so that remains out of date]. Members of the HPPS have made representations at a number of BPS events recently, and one has curated a new exhibition on the development of Psychology over the last 250 years which opens at the Science Museum on the 9th December 2013.

Please note that we do not currently have an editor of our journal, so invitations for papers are in abeyance.
